AYAC is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes representatives from state and territory youth peaks as well as the youth sector, young people and general members from across Australia. All members are elected at the annual general meeting.

Policy Advisory Council
The AYAC PAC is an advisory body to the AYAC Board and staff. The PAC is regularly consulted to ensure that policy positions taken by AYAC are reflective of the needs and current trends of young people and the youth sector.
