Australian education authorities have joined forces to promote a National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence.
The first annual community awareness campaign, organised through the Safe and Supportive School Communities Project, occurs today, 18 March 2011, and focuses on bystander behaviour.
The release of the revised National Safe Schools Framework coincides with Australia's first National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, the Herald Sun reported.
Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth, Peter Garrett, in his media release today stated “Student wellbeing and children’s safety are of paramount importance to this Government, and the revised National Safe Schools Framework is the only national anti-bullying resource of its kind in the world,”.
