AYAC and an AYAC youth representative last year attended the Australian Human Rights Commission consultations addressing sexual orientation and sex and/or gender identity discrimination, as well as preparing a submission (which you can find here). The consultation report is now available...

The Australian Human Rights Commission is pleased to launch the consultation report, Addressing sexual orientation and sex and/or gender identity discrimination. The consultation report is available from the Commission's website, in PDF and accessible Word format, here:

http://www.humanrights.gov.au/human_rights/lgbti/lgbticonsult/report/index.html.

The Commission conducted a consultation in October 2010 to canvas the experiences and views of people who may have been discriminated against on the basis of their sexual orientation or sex and/or gender identity and other interested people and community groups. Addressing sexual orientation and sex and/or gender identity discrimination is the product of that consultation. It aims to capture the range of experiences and views expressed by consultation participants.

If you would like to be provided with a hard copy of the consultation report, please contact Sarah Haid from the Australian Human Rights Commission, on +61 2 9284 9600
