"The world is full of hard knocks. So change the world" Hard Knock Life is a conference focussing on youth participation, will be taking place in Melbourne on 9-10 September.
Hard Knock Life will offer the opportunity for young people to share their opinions about how to improve the lives of other young Australians. They can connect with other young people passionate about making the word a better place and share their ideas about how you can make their plans a reality. Young people can also engage with organisations they admire and find out how they can become involved.
The two-day event will provide the opportunity for young people to meet representatives from organisations who are fighting to make the world a better place: including the Foundation for Young Australians, Change.org.au, Soften the Fck Up and the Cooperative Research Centre for Young People, Technology and Wellbeing.
Organisations are also being invited to share their experiences about working with young people, including how they can make youth participation relevant and meaningful, as well as how to engage and mobilise the youth voice.
You can check out co-convenor Hugh Stephens discussing the conference on MTR here.
