The Prime Minister's Australian Youth Forum Challenge was initiated to provide young people with the opportunity to implement innovative ideas on engaging with other young people in their community.
AYAC was engaged to provide mentoring, project support and assistance to the six winners of the inaugural 2010 PM's AYF Challenge

The 6 winners of the PM’s AYF Challenge implemented the following projects in their local communities in 2010:
The CARN! Youth Film Festival - Oliver Delvecchio (South Australia)
An online film festival that aimed to provide young people the opportunity to produce short feature films on youth issues and young people.
The Cup Project – 100 Emerging Artists - Amy Craig (Victoria)
An artistic project that aimed to support young artists in Melbourne by printing their artworks and bios on takeway coffess and distributing them at local cafes.

Sada: Reflections in the mirror of hidden voices - Arif Nabizadah (New South Wales)
A political awareness project that aimed to provide Afghan men and women the opportunity to voice their views about issues they face living in Australia through digital media.
Youth Voting and Political Forum - Nic Kimberley (Victoria)
This forum aimed to encourage young people in Bendigo to learn more about the voting system and politics.
Youth Migrant Support and Celebration Day - Megan Payne (South Australia)
This event aimed to engage international studies and skilled migrants in Adelaide through an information and service fair that provides relevant information on available servicees, support group, education and employment opportunities for participants and a cultural evening.

Awards and Entertainment Night - Jeremiah Wordsworth (with Florence Muvandi and Elizabeth Lang) (Western Australia)
This event aimed to encourage young people from various cultural backgrounds in Perth to engage with one another through an arts and sports day. It also aimed to celebrate the youth talents through the awards night.
Encouraging the participation of young people from various culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in local community sporting clubs and arts programs, culminating in an awards night for participants.
Inspire Student Activism is a 4 week program designed to give new university age students they skills and experience they need to be lasting change agents on their campuses.
